Human trafficking takes place all over the world. Women and children are taken and are forced to work as slaves. These slaves are forced to either perform manual labor, such as working on a farm or in a factory, or forced to work as prostitutes.
Human trafficking statistics demonstrate that up to $32 billion for the traffickers. That means that when the traffickers sell a person, all of the victims around the world and all of the work that they do make up to $32 billion. Police are saying that human trafficking is the third largest crime behind drugs and guns.
There are many types of human trafficking. There is labor trafficking, where men are forced to work as fishermen, farmers, or other hard working jobs where they are not safe. Many men have died working in the construction by unsafe conditions.
